The Jeffersontown Fire Protection District is now accepting applications to establish a Hiring list for the position of FIREFIGHTER. This list will be in effect for a period of two years. The position(s) will consist of a 24 hour shift followed by 48 hours off duty.

Minimum requirements:
Minimum of 18 years of age
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
IFSAC Firefighter II
Valid driver’s license
Liability Insurance, current
Satisfactory criminal and employment background check
Current (CPAT) Candidate Physical Ability Test Card
Successful completion of a department provided physical examination.
Kentucky certified Emergency Medical Technician.
The candidate must show proof of EMT Certification and CPAT at time of interview.
