Jeffersontown Summer Art Camp - Ages 13-17

Monday, July 13, 2020

Find your inner artist! We are excited to announce that we are now opening up registration for our 2020 Summer Art Camp here in Jeffersontown! Ages 13-17 welcome.

Learn all about art with classes that range from painting, drawing, paper mache, string art and more!

***NOTICE***
With the current situation regarding COVID-19, we wanted to address some questions you might have regarding the set up of the camp this year:

How many campers will be in each class?
  • Per CDC Guidelines we are accepting a max of 8-10 campers per class, not including the teacher and volunteer present.
Will masks be required to be worn?
  • Per the current CDC guidelines, masks will be worn by all campers and the staff while we are inside.  Social distancing will be maintained.  We will adjust this if we are able to have class outside if weather permits.
Will supplies be shared?
  • Supplies will be purchased with specific classes in mind, and separate kits for each camper at their own station when the lesson calls for it.
What about disinfecting?
  • We will sanitize all surfaces before, during and after camp and encourage hand washing and good hygiene. We will move hand sanitizer in the rooms we will be using, keep wipes on hand and make sure to keep the area open and everyone spaced out accordingly.
Will each camper be required to bring their own snack and drink?
  • If you prefer to send your camper in with a pre-made snack due to allergies/particular foods, just let us know in advanced so we can account for outside objects in the rooms. However, we are planning to pass out (with gloves), snacks and drinks for each camper.
We know this is quite a change from way the camp was set up in past years, but we are putting the health and safety of the campers and our staff as our top priority. We will update the guidelines of the camp with every update from the CDC up until the camp starting.

We are thrilled to be having the Summer Art Camp this summer and look forward to seeing our campers and getting our creativity on!
