The City of Jeffersontown (City) will be receiving sealed bids for the Jeffersontown Olmsted Stone Arch Bridge Rehabilitation Project. The responsible contractors must provide a 5% Bid Bond or Certified Check for 5% of the project. There will be a DBE Goal of 3% and the winning contractor will supply the DBE participation plan to the City prior to award.
The City of Jeffersontown Olmsted Stone Arch Bridge Rehabilitation Project will follow the Kentucky Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction-current edition. All contractors and DEB subcontractors will be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in their applicable categories of work at the time of the bid opening. Contractors must be prequalified in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in at least one of the following Work Areas A, E1, E2, E3, E5, and/or I16. Portions of this project will be performed under the Secretary of the Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
All other subcontractors must be pre-qualified when accepting subcontracts. The project will consist of replacement and repair of masonry stonework, installation of concrete slab, and boulder toe walls for the bridge located at the intersection of Old Taylorsville Road and Chenoweth Run Road in Jeffersontown, KY.
