Although H.N. Reubelt served both as minister of the Jeffersontown Christian Church and president of the Jefferson County Bank
, he preferred to be known "simply as a good citizen." He was a well-respected figure in Jeffersontown, and much admired for his knowledge, kindness, and open-mindedness.
He married Julia Bryan, the daughter of Dr. William Bryan
, and they resided in the lovely two-story brick home which still stands on the corner of Galene and College Drive, across from Tully Elementary School.
