Minimum Hiring Requirements

The following are minimum hiring requirements:
  • Current candidate physical ability test (CPAT) card 
    (CPAT is waived for Temporary Employees Only)
  • Current fit for duty Letter (within one year)
  • Current liability insurance
  • Kentucky certified emergency medical technician (proof of EMT required at time of interview)
  • Kentucky certified (volunteer) firefighter
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Satisfactory criminal and employment background check
  • Valid driver’s license
