City Clerk / Treasurer

Responsibilities

The city clerk / treasurer is an appointed official of the City of Jeffersontown and serves as the official custodian for the city and is required to:
  • Account for all assets of the city through performing the following functions:
    • Accounts payable
    • Account receivables
    • Payroll
    • Purchasing
  • Administer and provide fiscally responsible control and guidance for all financial matters of the city while complying with all applicable city, state, and federal mandates
  • Maintain city records, ordinances, resolutions, executive orders, agreements, and all other public records
