Look Who's Recycling In Jeffersontown
Just in time for Earth Day, Jeffersontown's curbside recycling program is getting a boost with a new incentive aimed to increase participation and keep more waste of landfills.

There are 8,915 residences in the City that are eligible for curbside recycling service.  Residents who are recycling or would like to start should take the online pledge.  Taking the pledge enters the resident into a quarterly drawing for a $100.00 Kroger gift card and recognition at the City Council meetings and in city publications, website and social media.  The program, called "Look Who's Recycling in Jeffersontown", is sponsored by Rumpke, the city's sanitation provider.

Currently about 55 percent of household in Jeffersontown participate in recycling.

The incentive program is only open to the residents of Jeffersontown, and participation in the recycling program will be verified. There is no extra cost for resident to use the bi-weekly recycling service, which includes a 65-gallon wheeled cart.
