Program
The Jeffersontown Facade Improvement
Program is a unique opportunity for commercial and industrial
property owners or tenants to improve the exterior of their
buildings. The appearance of a building is the customer's
image of that business and that city. By upgrading a building or
property, the owner / tenant makes a sound investment in their
business and in our community.
The program helps make improving a
building both possible and affordable by providing architectural
assistance with design ideas (provided by the city of
Jeffersontown) and low-interest financing (provided by
Republic Bank) to business building owners or to their tenants to
implement the design suggestions.
Improvements may include, but are not
limited to facade work, awnings, canopies, entryways, new public
entrances, signs, painting, window-door replacement, lighting,
repair of mortar joints, wood-work repair, sidewalks, landscaping,
parking, etc.
These types of improvements not only
improve the appearance of property, but also enhance safety and
functional qualities, increase public safety, increase and stabilize
property values and contribute to the city of Jeffersontown's
overall economic development efforts.

Who Qualifies?
Architectural Assistance
The Jeffersontown Facade Improvement Program will provide up to
$500 of contracted architectural assistance for the development of
conceptual facade drawings. City officials and the selected
architect will consult with the property owner / tenant on potential
improvements.
Financial Assistance
Republic Bank is offering a low fixed rate loan to anyone that
owns/leases commercial or industrial property in Jeffersontown and
wants to improve the facades of structurally sound properties.
Up to $20,000 per facade (in public
view), not to exceed 100% of the improvement costs. Minimum
loan amount - $2,500.

5% fixed interest rate for 5
years.
